White Oak Baptist Creative Arts Preschool is a Christ centered ministry of White Oak Baptist Church. The program allows children, infants through Pre-K the opportunity to be with other children in a structured and loving environment. Our program is designed to encourage each child to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually for their own age level and learning pace. Our philosophy is that exposure to an environment based on Biblical principles and teaching, along with strong academic fundamentals, will create spiritually grounded and well-educated individuals.
Our Creative Arts Preschool Program seeks to equip, encourage, and engage young minds. We believe that the absolute Truth can be found in Christ alone, and that His Truth is revealed in Creation, Scripture, and of course, through learning! In our preschool, we are seeking the Truth, finding Jesus in everything we do.
Unlike traditional daycares, the purpose of our program is to encourage engagement in the creative arts, incorporating a diverse range of expressive forms such as painting, drawing, music, dance, drama, structured and unstructured artistic expression, and engaging with standard preschool scholastic objectives with unique and individualized lesson plans. We fold the Christian faith into every lesson, amplifying the Scriptures and encouraging spiritual as well as academic growth.
In addition to the excellent in-classroom instruction given by our teaching staff, White Oak Baptist Creative Arts Preschool also engages in specialized music and art classes. Each child will have an opportunity to learn music and art in dedicated spaces to enhance learning, immersion, and skill development. When preschoolers engage in the arts, they are building fine motor skills and neural connections, enhancing creative abilities and encouraging imaginative expression, improving their communication skills, both one-on-one and in group settings, boosting self-esteem, and learning to appreciate others’ artistic endeavors.
Because we are a private preschool, we receive zero funding from state or federal grants or agencies. Our budget is entirely comprised of tuition payments and donations. There are four ways you can partner with White Oak Baptist Creative Arts Preschool: prayer, advocacy, volunteering, and financial partnerships. Our prayer partners remember our program in prayer, daily lifting up our teachers, students, and leadership team to Jesus. When you become a partner in advocacy, you help spread the word about the wonderful program at White Oak Baptist Creative Arts Preschool. Volunteers are available for substituting, helping teachers during class parties and events, or during campus renovation projects. Funding raised through the generous gifts of our financial partners make such renovations and events possible. Financial gifts can be made monthly, by semester, or as one-time donations. If you are interested in discussing any of these options further, please reach out to Jennifer Cathell or Lindsey Howell.
